The Queen's Platinum Jubilee 2022
Lesson: History
We thoroughly enjoyed our Tilston School 'Street Party' to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. We designed and made crowns, and enjoyed the parade where Rowan (Wrens), Beatrice (Robins), Sophie N (House Martins) and Iolo (Kestrels) were awarded prizes for the best crown designs.
Reverend Tim presented beautiful commerative books to all children from St Mary's Church.
The Tilston School choir sang 'Rise Up and Serve'
Grandpa Lunney, Fearne and Rory's Grandpa, made a surprise appearance with his bagpipes! The children (and staff) were overwhelmed when he started playing The National Anthem and we sang along with him.
How could we top this fabulous afternoon off? The TSA had kindly organised for Dotty- the vintage ice cream van- to pop by to give all children a delicious treat. Thank you.
The sun shone, the children and staff were together and we had an incredible afternoon. Lots of wonderful memories were captured yesterday, we hope you enjoy looking at our photographs.
