Welcome to our homepage.
'Encourage one another and build each other up' 1 Thessalonians 5:11
We are the school's Year 5 and 6 pupils. In the Kestrels class, we strive to always encourage each other and build each other up and do this through living out our Christian values: joy, community, trust, respect, courage and friendship.
Welcome back and we're ready to begin the second half of the Spring term! We've got lots of exciting activities to do this term. In English we'll be studying a book called 'The day the war came' by Nicola Davies - a story about an unaccompanied refugee child. All of our English writing will be based on this book this half term. In Maths, we'll be using the White Rose scheme beginning with Area and Perimeter, then moving on to statistics and reading graphs for Year 6. For year 5 statistics and interpreting graphs. In Science, we'll be studying the Circulatory system - so lots of practical experiments and investigations. Coasts will be the continued focus in Geography, we'll be studying coastal erosion looking at the physical impact of this process as well as how if affects local people.
