Data Protection

The General Data Protection Regulation is a new law that came into effect on May 25th 2018. The law applies to all organisations that handle or use personal data and this includes schools. The law means that organisations are no longer allowed to use or share your personal information without your consent. As a school we do hold personal data for example phone numbers, email addresses, dates of birth etc but this is never shared or used by any third party organisations that we employ to store this information. All personal data on the school operating systems is, and always has been, held securely.

The implementation of the law has required us to review and amend our policies in relation to data protection. Please see our updated Privacy Notice by clicking on the link below.

As a school, we are a data controller as we process data about staff and pupils.

The School's Data Protection lead is Mrs Kelsey Mort. The School's Data Protection Officer (DPO) is Cheshire West and Chester DPO team: SchoolDPO@cheshirewestandchester.gov.uk

On this page, parents can access the school's privay notice and the Data Protection Policy which will be updated to reflect the new legislation.
