Exploring Winter

This week we have been investigating and exploring what happens when salt and food colouring is added to ice. The children had great fun. We also made ice sculptures. First we put some water into the containers. Then we added natural objects from our outside classroom. Finally we put some string into the water then put the in the freezer to freeze into ice sculptures. We think they turned out quite well.
